By Sonia P.R.
TIPS:

Language that is rude or aggressive is not appropriate for a formal letter of complaint in English. It is quite possible to make a point strongly shile remaining polite and formal.
-
Start your letter with an introductory paragrapph that clearly shows your reason for writing.
-
Divide the body of your letter into clear, well-linked paragraphs.
-
Make sure you say what action you expect to be taken about your complaint, for example an apology, a refund, compensation...
-
The letter will begin with: Dear Sir or Madam.
-
The purpose of a complaining letter could be: to complain; to give reasons for something; to make suggestions; to request something.
-
The impression that we want on our reader to have of us is: that we are polite but assertive.
